Conveyor Belts for Every Application
The Right Belt, In Stock & Ready When You Are
When a conveyor belt needs replacing, you need the right specification without waiting weeks for it to turn up.
N E Vulcanising supplies industrial conveyor belts across the UK, with over 100,000 metres of belting in stock at any one time. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, our central Midlands location gives us fast access to customers nationwide and helps us turn orders around quickly.
We work with mobile plant, fixed conveyors and large industrial systems across quarrying, aggregates, recycling, agriculture, manufacturing and bulk material handling.
Order the belt for your own team to fit, or arrange supply and installation through our engineers.
Stocked In The Midlands, Supplying The UK
Keeping a large range of belting in stock means we can get on with preparing your order as soon as the specification is confirmed.
A Fast Turnaround Is Essential When:
- A failed belt is holding up production.
- A planned shutdown depends on the replacement arriving on time.
- You need several belts ready for different machines.
- You want to keep a spare belt on site.
- A standard supplier cannot offer the width or construction required.
We hold belts up to 2600mm wide, alongside a broad range of standard and specialist specifications.
Plain Rubber and Chevron Conveyor Belts
Plain Rubber Conveyor Belts
Plain rubber belts remain the workhorse for many conveying applications. We supply specifications including 500/3, 630/4, 800/4 and 1000/5, selected around the conveyor duty, material and required strength.
They are used across:
- Quarrying and aggregates.
- Waste and recycling.
- Agriculture and general bulk handling.
- Manufactured goods and industrial material handling.
If the belt is carrying sharp stone or heavy material, the cover grade, thickness and cut resistance all need to be considered alongside the belt strength.
Chevron Conveyor Belts
For inclined conveyors, we supply C15 and C25 chevron belts for mobile plant and fixed systems.
Chevron belts are commonly used on:
- Mobile screeners and crushers.
- Stockpilers and radial stackers.
- Sand and gravel conveyors.
- Quarry and aggregate plants.
- Recycling conveyors.
- Agricultural and grain handling systems.
The raised profile gives loose material more grip, helping prevent it rolling back down the belt. This can be useful where space is limited and the conveyor needs to run at a steeper angle.
We’ll recommend the profile around the conveyor angle, material being carried and the existing pulley and cleaning arrangement.
Specialist Belting for More Demanding Conditions
Some applications put more strain on a belt than a standard specification can reasonably handle.
Ripstop and Reinforced Belts
Sharp stone, heavy lumps and trapped material can cut into a belt and send a tear across it. Reinforced ripstop belting adds protection where impact and tearing are recurring problems.
It is often used on:
- Crusher discharge conveyors.
- Heavy transfer points.
- Quarry belts carrying broken stone.
- Recycling conveyors carrying sharp or irregular material.
We consider the carcass, reinforcement and cover together to match the way the belt is loaded and run.
Oil-Resistant Belts
Oil, grease and fats can make ordinary rubber swell, soften and distort. Oil-resistant belts are used on conveyors handling oily recycling materials, fertiliser, oil-bearing seeds, animal feed and other products containing oils or fats.
The correct grade depends on the substance involved. Mineral oil and vegetable oil applications can require different belt compounds.
Heat-Resistant Conveyor Belts
Hot aggregate, asphalt and cement can quickly damage standard rubber. We supply heat-resistant belting with the grade matched to the material temperature, contact time and any abrasion or impact the belt will face.
Fire-Resistant Conveyor Belts
Fire-resistant belting is used where the conveyor must meet a specific flame-resistant rating, including fuel and coal handling, enclosed systems and certain recycling or industrial applications.
We’ll work to your site requirements and make sure the belt suits both the conveyor and the material being carried.
Food-Grade Belts
For produce handling, processing and packing, we supply food-grade belting selected around the product, belt surface and cleaning routine. Options can also be chosen for regular washdown, oils, fats or moisture.
Friction-Backed Belts
Friction-backed belts are made for slider-bed conveyors, where the belt runs over a flat deck instead of rollers. The fabric backing helps the belt run smoothly over the bed, making them suitable for picking, packing, bagging and product-handling lines.
Profiles, Attachments and Skirting
Some conveyors need more than a flat belt. Profiles and transfer-point components can help keep material contained, carry it up an incline and control how it moves through the system.
We also supply & fit:
- Sidewall belts: Keep loose material on the belt when conveying uphill, often alongside cleats for steeper inclines.
- Cleated and flighted belts: Help carry material up an incline, control the flow or keep products separated at set intervals.
- Conveyor skirting: Fitted around loading and transfer points to keep material on the belt and reduce spillage. Rubber and polyurethane options are available for different materials and levels of wear.
These can be supplied alongside a replacement belt or as separate components, with the specification matched to the conveyor, material and working conditions.
Experience Behind the Supply
N E Vulcanising supplies, fits, repairs and vulcanises conveyor belts every day, and has done for over 4 decades. That means we understand how the belt needs to work once it is on the conveyor, not just how it looks on a specification sheet.
If a belt has been wearing unevenly, splitting or failing early, we can help work out whether the construction or cover grade needs changing. For a straightforward replacement, we can work from the existing specification and get the belt prepared quickly.
Supply Only or Supply and Fit
Choose the service that suits the job:
- Belting cut to your required width and length.
- Clipped endless belts ready for your own team to fit.
- Belts prepared for planned shutdowns or kept as site spares.
- Full supply and fitting, including on-site vulcanising where appropriate.
Send us the belt dimensions and specification, or the conveyor and application details. We’ll confirm what is required, what is available and how quickly we can get it to you.
